... read more /> Part of the service was to replace and air filter but because I have an aftermarket air filter, it was not required. Haydar took that off the bill so I ended up paying under $300. Also, it only took 50 minutes to do the job.

I echo all of the 5 star reviews for this business. Haydar is an honest and experienced mechanic and he has just earned another lifetime customer. Can't recommend this business enough.

I cancelled an appointment with a different mechanic when Heydar became available and couldn't be more satisfied.

My 2008 Mercedes Benz E350 4Matic suffered from intermittent issues that other mechanics diagnosed as a bad Torque Converter requiring transmission replacement ($4000 job) to bad ECU requiring replacement ($2500+ job).

Heydar arrived on time and with great attitude to work on my car which suffered from a Crank/No Start issue and towed to my home. He jumps in and the car starts right up and runs strong. He still ran a computer diagnosis which showed no codes and no clues to anything wrong. Being embarrassed for wasting his time I expected him to leave with his duties fulfilled. He took the time to speak with me about what the problems were and even offered to charge me less that the original price. I refused the discount being so grateful.

Later that day I started the car and drove 3 blocks and it stalled in an intersection. I pushed it to the side of the road and felt totally alone with no idea on how to proceed. I text Heydar and he responded that he would return the next morning.

When he returned he quickly ran a few test and we methodically discounted the transmission diagnosis and started to focus on the ECU as added a failed fuel pump to the mix. He left assuring me he would get to the bottom of it and I prepared myself for the expensive ECU replacement and finding a reputable shop that could reprogram the unit.

Heydar contacted me again and wanted to run another couple of test. Mind you I was preparing for the ECU nightmare about to ensue. He arrive for the 3rd time and runs a few test that bypass the fuel pump and together we talk out the situation. Finally we discount the ECU replacement and focus on the fuel pump. I agreed we should replace the pump with the understanding that Mercedes are difficult cars to diagnose and that there would be a 15% chance it would not be the fuel pump. I had high hopes but expected the worse.

On the forth visit with all the parts in hand Heydar gets to work on a hot/humid day. Within the time I ran to the store to get cold water I returned to a car running strong. I couldn't be happier. 

My recommendation is to call Heydar... he has the willingness to talk things thru and consider your input, his willingness to come back multiple times until it is fixed and to methodically work thru what could be a thousand possible causes to get you back in the road. I will call him whenever I require an honest, skilled and reliable mechanic.

I found myself in the unenviable position of transitioning between jobs having purchased a used Audi that more issues than I could have anticipated. I spoke to Haydar on a Thursday and he scheduled his initial visit on that Saturday at my convenience. Having a mechanic who is willing to work around your schedule from the comfort of your own home was such a relief given how busy thing are for me right now.

When he arrived he took some time to go over a number of the issues that typically pop up with a vehicle as old as mine (2009) in addition to asking me about anything else I may have noticed in the time I'd spent driving it and came back to me with an estimate that most likely saved me half (if not more) of what a brick and mortar or dealership garage would have charged me. In addition to this he worked tirelessly with the warranty company and tried to have them cover as many of the issues as possible thus saving me even more.

I have additional work that I'll be doing down the line and I have Haydar on speed dial.

Plus, some other auto shops didn't even want the job because it's labor intensive or they didn't have the tools. However, after meeting him in person, those initial qualities are what counts above all else. His shop is located in a nice area and I didn't worry about my car being left there overnight. When I picked up the car after the job was complete, it was in the price range he quoted and he had video of the work being done and it came with a warranty. My older VW diesel is ready for another 100k!

  There's nothing better than having a mechanic you can trust, and Haydar is that mechanic. I sought him out based on his great Yelp reviews, but when I got to... read more his shop, I have to admit I was a little concerned by how small it was and the fact he shares it with another mechanic. But I met him and talked to him for a few minutes and he immediately offered to take my car for a test drive so he could experience its problem with acceleration. When we got back to the shop, he opened the hood and instantly diagnosed the issue (although, to be fair, it was pretty obvious the piece that controls the turbo function was worn out and came off). Over the weekend he sent me a written estimate for replacing that part and the rear brakes, and when I dropped the car off on Tuesday, he gave me a ride back to my house. Haydar did the work while I was in Puerto Rico, and a day or two after I dropped it off he texted me and let me know it was done. When I came back to Virginia he offered to pick me up from my house to get my car, but a friend of mine was able to do it. The car drove perfectly, and everything Haydar said he would do, he did. Like I said, nothing better than having a mechanic you can trust.

One of the things about Haydar that made me trust him is the fact that he was an interpreter for the US military during the Iraq war. I spent a year in Afghanistan with the US Air Force and all the interpreters I worked with were incredibly trustworthy and they all ended up coming over to the US on interpreter visas, just as Haydar did. And they all have become very successful over here, just like Haydar.

Bottom line: trust the reviews. Take your car to Haydar, and you will end up with one of life's greatest treasures: a mechanic you can trust.
